Science or Commerce? What to choose after 10th?

I am in the ninth grade, and am interested in both science and commerce. I am highly confused and i can’t choose between the two.

Choosing either one is absolutely fine, provided you have the aptitude to tackle the subjects that it has in its curriculum.

Science needs you to be very strong in science subjects as well as maths (if you take PCM). In future it depends on what course you take after 12th – for eg., you need to be very good in maths for engineering field (except for fields related to biology).

In Commerce you are dealing with numbers, wherein you need to be very good in understanding why a transaction is made and how it is accounted in the various books of accounting.

Science is a tougher stream, but higher studies in commerce like CA or ICWA is equally tough.

Also, after 10th if you opt for science, you can take commerce after 12th.
