Young and unmarried? Get in to the Indian Navy


The Indian Navy is inviting applications from unmarried Indian citizens, aged 19 to 24 years, for Short Service Commission (SSC) as Observer in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy.

Highlights & Qualification:

  • Age from 19 years to 24 years, born between 02 July 1991 to 01 July 1996 (both dates inclusive)
  • Course commencing in June 2014 at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala
  • A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.
  • Should have qualified 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics
  • Candidates who have not completed their Degree (i.e, appearing candidates) need not apply.
  • Minimum height for men 162.5cms and for Women 152 cms
  • Should have the minimum acceptable vision standard (see the official website for details)

Application:

  • Candidates to fill in “e-application” (online)
  • Online application starts from 13 September 2014, and will close on 03 October 2014.
  • You need to upload recent passport size digital photograph of size less than 25Kb (.jpeg or .jpg format)
