King’s Summer Schools offer a unique opportunity for students in India to experience a taste of an international education close to home and develop the skills they will need to work in a global business environment – skills that prestigious employers are looking for across a range of careers.

‘We are also pleased to announce that this year King’s will be offering its first international pre-university programmes, which are designed to helps school students develop into self confident young people able to make informed choices about their academic future. The King’s courses will equip them with cutting-edge knowledge and study skills that are crucial for a head start in higher education internationally.’

Scholarship winners of last year at the Summer School were all praises for the programme – Vir Singh, a scholarship student from last year’s International Political Economy course said: ‘I believe the quality of the Mumbai Summer School is phenomenal, the experience was wonderfully intuitive as I learnt whilst having fun.’

Another student who won last year said, ‘The lectures were based around providing us with tools and skills that could be exercised in actual business scenarios. The students are much more involved in the discussions, thus helping us to get more out of our study. Academics encouraged us to read extensively, to research thoroughly and to question what we have learnt at every opportunity, whilst simultaneously pushing us to achieve our best and go beyond.

‘Even the exchange of views, promotion of new ideas and the effective use of case studies made this a truly great learning platform. The research-centric approach ensures that students get the best out of the course and are also able to creatively find solutions to challenging situations that are faced in the real business world.’
